A full 95 percent of participants expressed concerns with their institution’s ability to prioritize and coordinate personnel resources during an incident.

This includes 63 percent of institutions that cited moderate challenges and 32 percent that cited major challenges, including coordinating the activities of deployed resources, especially “self-deployed” personnel, responding to incident alerts from off-campus emergency response entities.

Just 5 percent of institutions reported no challenge. Those respondents recommended best practices including establishing an incident perimeter and evacuating affected
areas during an incident.
