Lehigh University International Student Poisons Roommate, Tries to Flee Country
A former Lehigh University international student tried to get himself deported to avoid prosecution for poisoning his roommate.
Yukai Yang allegedly tried to slowly and discreetly kill his roommate by putting thallium, which was used in rat poison until the 1970s, in his roommate’s food and drinks.
Yang attempted to evade prosecution by posting bail and then flying home to China.
