12 Times ‘See Something, Say Something’ Saved Lives

What: A student told school officials that a classmate was fixated on school shootings and had access to weapons. School officials then notified police who searched the suspect’s residence.
Authorities say the teen had “every intention” to go through with an active shooter attack. They seized seven rifles, three handguns, a shotgun, and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition.
The suspect also allegedly mapped out the distance between the local police station and the school to determine law enforcement’s response time, had a “hit list” of five or six students, and was in the process of selecting a date to carry out his attack.
