“It is with great pleasure that I nominate Healthcare Security Officer, Lourdes Castillo for the Officer of the Year Award.  Lourdes has been with Keck Medicine of USC for 7.5 years and has a total of 24 years total in the field of Security where she has also been a Post Commander. I have had the privilege of being her Supervisor on the PM shift here at USC Keck for the past 2 years and what I have been able to witness, is absolutely amazing.  There have been numerous occasions where I have seen Lourdes go “above and beyond” to provide stellar customer service.  Her attention to detail is “second to none” when she assists us on training any new officers that get hired here at USC Keck, even though that is not in her job description. Lourdes brings consistency and stability on a daily basis and exemplifies the word “team player” with her relentless pursuit to be surrounded in a positive environment. I have been in the Security Industry for 20 years now and I would definitely list Lourdes in the top echelon of Security Officers. Officer Lourdes Castillo’s dedication, vigilance, and unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors are truly commendable.  Officer Castillo’s exceptional service and professionalism set a high standard for others to follow. Her diligence and hard work help make our healthcare environment a safer place for everyone.  She has been a great help to me as I transitioned to Healthcare Security and is always willing to go the “extra mile” which shows her character and integrity.
