The University of South Carolina (USC) professor who was gunned down at his desk by his ex-wife had filed a report with campus police before the shooting.
Raja Fayad, 45, was a public health professor at USC when his ex-wife, Sunghee Kwon, walked into his classroom around 1 p.m. on Feb. 5 and fatally shot him before killing herself, Campus Safety Magazine previously reported.
Now details are coming out that Fayad’s ex-wife had been showing up to his class to watch him teach, and that Fayad had previously filed a report with campus police saying he was “uncomfortable with the female,” although Fayad never reported that the woman was his ex-wife, reports wcnc.com.
Directly after the shooting, a Carolina Alert notified students to stay indoors until the alert was lifted, and the campus was closed for several hours.
