Two people in North Carolina were arrested on an elementary school campus with multiple guns on June 4.
38-year-old Adam Conley and 29-year-old Kathryn Jeter were arrested outside of South Macon Elementary School with several weapons.
A bus driver called police shortly after 5 a.m. following a confrontation with Conley that ended with Conley pointing a gun at the driver, according to americanlivewire.com. Police arrived and when Conley didn’t cooperate with police he was Tased and found to have three handguns on him. Jeter was also Tased and arrested when she reached for the gun that Conley had dropped.
The two suspects were taken to Macon County Detention Center and a judge has set bail at $1 million each.
Police said one of the suspects had shot and killed a cat on the elementary school campus, and when asked if they were planning a school shooting both replied “if it would have been God’s will for us to shoot the children.”
The suspects’ home was later searched and more guns and ammunition were discovered. Both are suspected to be under the influence of drugs at the time of their arrests.
