UPDATE Dec. 12, 2014: The child’s disciplinary offense has been changed by the district from “sexual harassment” to “misconduct,” reports CNN.
CANON CITY, Colo. – Hunger Yelton, 6, has been suspended from his school for kissing one of his female classmates.
According to Yelton’s mother, the first grader has a crush on the girl who likes him in return. The pair are “boyfriend and girlfriend,” reports KRDO. School officials, however, say the kiss was sexual harassment.
The incident occurred during a reading group when Yelton leaned over and kissed the girl. The other classmates then went and told the teacher.
The school has had discipline issues with the same boy before, including rough-housing and kissing the same girl on the cheek.
