Congratulations to Piedmont Healthcare Director of Public Safety Mike Hodges for being one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Here are some of his notable achievements:
- Collaborated with frontline staff and providers on proactive measures to combat workplace violence, including de-escalation training and establishing a local and system-wide workplace violence committee, including leadership at both levels.
- Implemented a leadership track for officers to encourage individual career growth and sustain experience within the department.
- Brought in new Tasers and body cameras for use by officers. Collaborated with legal, risk, compliance and nursing departments, as well as leadership on body camera policy.
