Congratulations to Vanguard University Director of Campus Safety Kenton Ferrin for being named one of this year’s Higher Education/Healthcare Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Here are some of his notable achievements:
- Wrote and received two grants enabling the university improve security and purchase disaster supplies.
- Upgraded the university’s access control and video surveillance systems, as well as implemented a fire code-compliant classroom locking system.
- Helped guide and design a new perimeter fence that helped curb unauthorized access while maintaining and open and welcoming appearance.
