Congratulations to Aaron Skrbin, Director of Safety and Security at Allegheny Intermediate Unit, for being named one of this year’s K-12 school/district Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Some of his notable achievements include:
- Started his unit’s school safety program from scratch, creating a centralized system of procedures.
- Revised emergency procedures that hadn’t been updated for more than five years.
- Created the district’s first-ever emergency operations plan, engaging stakeholders from each program or department.
