Congratulations to Hamilton County Schools Student Safety Coordinator James Corbin for being named one of this year’s K-12 Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.

Here are some of his notable achievements:

Created the district’s first safety department, growing from six student safety officers to now 56 officers.
Deployed one armed officer per campus.
Quickly filled the ranks of his department because officer morale is so high due to training, command structure, and willingness to engage with officers one-on-one.
