Congratulations to Palm Beach County (Florida) School District Chief of Police and School Safety Specialist Frank Kitzerow for being named one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.
Here are some of his notable achievements:
- In only six weeks, he met with more than 15 local police chiefs to ensure every school had at least one sworn law enforcement officer on campus, ensuring the district complied with new state requirements.
- Started three training academies for officers that cover response training and planning, site assessments, students with special needs, drug trends and identification, leadership, ethics, incident command and more.
- Obtained new patrol vehicles for officers.
