Congratulations University of North Texas Chief of Police Ed Reynolds for being one of this year’s Campus Safety Director of the Year finalists.

Here are some of his notable achievements:

  • Helped develop policies and procedures in response to passage of Texas’ campus carry law
  • Emphasized officer recruitment, raising pay levels to attract the best candidates and utilizing in-house marketing to save on recruitment costs
  • Pizza with Police events helped foster good relations with students and encourage them to discuss their concerns with campus police
