The University of Texas System Police at Health Science Center San Antonio – Dispatch Center

The University of Texas System Police at Health Science Center San Antonio operates a full dispatch center 24/7 to serve the campus community.

The goal was to bring the police communications center from a cramped room that had filled up over the past 30 years with outdated equipment to a center that had full interoperability with surrounding response entities. Equipment cost was roughly $650K for radios, computers, consoles and new fire alarm monitoring equipment.  This provided an upgraded radio system capable of operating in the 700/800 MHz range, with full interoperability with City, County and State Police and Fire Agencies.
