Truman State Selects ScheduleAnywhere for Officer Scheduling

ScheduleAnywhere allows officers to communicate scheduling remotely from any computer or mobile device with internet access.

Atlas Business Solutions, Inc., a business management software developer, announces the Truman State University Department of Public Safety has chosen ScheduleAnywhere as its officer scheduling solution.

ScheduleAnywhere is an online employee scheduling software that makes it possible to schedule and coordinate with officers from any computer or mobile device with internet access.

The software allows administrators, officers and staff to access work schedules remotely to
communicate and manage scheduling needs. It ensures proper shift coverage, manages shift rotations and staff availability, reduces scheduling errors and cuts time spent on scheduling by up the 75 percent, according to the company.

“We used to spend nearly six hours developing a schedule for each month,” says Sergeant Jeremy Cordray. “With ScheduleAnywhere, schedules can be copied and are created ahead of time, so all we need to do is post it online when we’re ready. This system has saved us a tremendous amount of time.”

The Kirksville, Mo., school’s public safety department consists of the University Police Department, parking services and University fleet vehicles.

Prior to implementing ScheduleAnywhere, the department’s method consisted of a scheduler creating a spreadsheet and e-mailing it to officers. If changes needed to be made, the spreadsheet had to be manually updated and re-sent to employees.

“Schedule changes are frequent, so there were often many different copies of each schedule, and
there was confusion over which was the most recent,” Cordray adds. “Additionally, it was difficult to notify officers in a timely manner when their schedules changed or to know if they received the notification. With ScheduleAnywhere, the schedule is always up to date, and it notifies officers of changes in real time.”
