The University of Connecticut (UConn) announced that romantic relationships between faculty members and undergrads as well as graduate students will no longer be allowed.
The new policy was adopted due to the power difference between professors and students, which could become exploitive or perceived as exploitive, reports Yahoo! News.
The move follows July’s announcement by the school that it is conducting a sexual misconduct probe of UConn music professor Robert Miller, who allegedly had sex with UConn students, visited freshmen dorms and provided drugs to students. Miller also faces allegations of inappropriate behavior with children.
