Texas Teen Brings 3 Loaded Guns to School, Planned to Make Threats

A loaded AK-47 was discovered in the bathroom.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas—A 17-year-old Madison High School student was arrested on Monday after police say he brought three loaded guns and a knife to school.

Authorities say he told them he planned to make demands during the school announcements, reports the Daily News. If his demands weren’t met, he planned on committing violence.

School officials found two handguns and a knife in his backpack, and an AK-47 was discovered in the bathroom.

The incident began when the boy’s parents discovered he wasn’t home when they woke up and that three of their guns were missing, reports KSAT.com. Campus administrators then met with the boy, which led them to discover the weapons.

The school was locked down for more than an hour. The campus does not have metal detectors.
