BOSTON — Two teenagers pleaded guilty to criminal harassment in Franklin-Hampshire Juvenile Court today in connection to the bullying-suicide of Phoebe Prince, 15. Three other teens are expected to do the same.
Sean Mulveyhill, 18, and Kayla Narey, 18, both pleaded guilty, CBS News reports. Flannery Mullins, Sharon Chanon Velazquez and Ashley Longe have reached deals and are expected to plead guilty to a single misdemeanor charge today and tomorrow.
Austin Renaud, 19, is charged with statutory rape and is expected to go to trial. He has denied having sexual contact with Prince. If he were to be offered a deal by prosecutors reducing the charges to indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14, Renaud would still have to register as a sex offender, according to officials.
Mulveyhill and Narey were ordered to do 100 hours of community service and complete their high school education.
