Suspect in U. of Alberta Murders Arrested Carrying $330K

EDMONTON, Alberta — U.S. border officials arrested a suspect in the robbery of an armored car at the University of Alberta that left three armed guards dead and one in critical condition.

Travis Baumgartner, 21, was stopped near a border crossing in Lynden, Wash., the Associated Press reports. He had $330,000 in cash in a backpack.

Baumgartner was a member of the G4S Cash Solutions team that was re-loading bank machines on the university campus when the shooting of four officers occurred. Baumgartner had only been on the job for three months, and a company spokesman said an investigation will be conducted.
