Special Ed Teacher Accused of Abusing Students

CHICAGO – The father of a 7-year-old boy with autism who is unable to speak was alerted to his son’s abuse by the boy’s drawings.

The stick-figure drawings appear to show a teacher abusing the boy, reports CBS Chicago. Parents of other students also noticed that their children had injuries, such as scratches on their faces and bruises.

Chicago Public Schools officials have confirmed that a special education teacher and her aides at Finkl Elementary School have been removed from their classroom. No charges have been filed in the matter.
