School Lessons Now Include Internet Etiquette

More U.S. schools are incorporating Internet safety into curriculum so that students will be better “digital citizens,” reports USA Today.

The focus is shifting away from “stranger danger,” which is the typical message given to young computer users. Instead, students are taught how to be careful about what they post online and how to identify bogus Web sites. The courses also cover cyberbullying and plagiarism.
