BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Police shot a naked man who was allegedly firing a gun near the Indiana University campus Friday.
The man, who has not been identified, was in surgery after being shot by officers, The Associated Press reports. Police told the man to stop, but he pointed his gun at one of the officers, who shot him. He then sat up and pointed his gun toward a second officer, who also shot him.
The university did not issue an alert about the gunman because police caught him so quickly, according to a school spokesman. Officers had already captured him by the time campus police arrived at the scene.
