JACKSON TWP., Ohio — Hospital security officers discovered the body of a man in a car parked in the Affinity Medical Center parking lot Wednesday. He had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.
Before his death, Danny H. Owens fought with his estranged wife Joyce and shot her in the leg, according to police. He dropped Joyce off at the emergency room, where she initially told hospital employees that she was wounded by a gun that accidentally discharged, IndeOnline.com reports. Employees became suspicious after Owens’ body was discovered.
Police believe Owens’ gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
