Children at very young ages now either own or have access to cell phones, social media sites and other technologies that may make them more vulnerable to cyber bullying and the advances of sexual predators. There are, however, ways that parents and school personnel can effectively address student online safety issues.
Clay Cranford, who is deputy sheriff for the Orange County (Calif.) Sheriff’s Department is an expert on cyber security for children, and he presented on this topic at Campus Safety Conference West 2016.
