Okla. High School Students Charged with Rape of Classmates
The students face felony charges after an incident on a school bus.
Four members of a high school wrestling team in Oklahoma were charged with rape following a Jan. 9 incident on a school bus.
The students, aged between 18 and 16, were charged with first-degree rape by instrumentation by force and fear and two counts of first-degree rape by instrumentation of a victim under the age of 14, according to koco.com. All three charges are felonies.
The Norman North High School wrestling team was on its way back from a tournament when the students allegedly sexually assaulted their 16- and 12-year-old teammates. The 12-year-old was reportedly assaulted again when the bus returned to the high school.

Norman North has dismissed the adjunct coach that was supposed to be supervising the students and a second wrestling coach has also resigned.
The 18-year-old involved will be charged as an adult in the case while the other three students will be charged as youthful offenders.
Norman Public Schools Superintendent Joseph Siano released a statement reassuring parents that safety is the district’s top priority and saying that student supervision policies are being evaluated.
