Nurse Beaten Unconscious at New York Hospital

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Police are saying that a patient being prepared for discharge beat a 70-year-old nurse at Brookdale Hospital to the point of unconsciousness on Friday.

Other hospital employees saw Kwincii Jones, 40, attach the nurse, reports NBCNewYork.com.  The victim’s face was fractured, and she suffered hemorrhaging and chest contusions as a result of the beating.

Jones stopped beating the nurse when other nurses told him to stop.

He has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and assault.
