ANN ARBOR, Mich. — A 17-year-old was charged with the sexual assault of a University of Michigan’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital patient who reported that she was attacked in August.
Soumo Kennedy was arraigned Sept. 30 for allegedly assaulting the girl while he was visiting another patient in the same room, the Detroit Free Press reports. The victim had been hospitalized with multiple traumatic injuries, but was coherent during the assault.
Kennedy was charged with assault with intent to commit sexual penetration, second-degree criminal sexual conduct and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.
