High School Student Suspended After Disarming Gunman

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A high school student who wrestled a loaded firearm away from a classmate says he’s been suspended.

The unidentified 16-year-old student from Cypress Lake High School tackled another student on a school bus after the 15-year-old suspect threatened to start shooting, reports fox4now.com. The teen who successfully disarmed the suspect was then suspended for his role in the incident and for not cooperating with the investigation.

The suspect has been charged with gun possession on school property and assault.
