ARLINGTON, Va. — A cafeteria worker at Virginia Hospital Center was charged after he allegedly tied up a coworker and used the coworker’s office chair to roll a cabinet safe out of the building and into the trunk of a taxi.
Albert Murray arrived to work in a taxi and told the driver to wait, The Washington Post reports. He then entered the cafeteria and asked a manager to come with him to the back office, where he reportedly threatened the manager with a knife. When the manager told Murray he didn’t know the combination to the office safe, Murray tied him up and rolled the safe from the office in a chair.
Murray tried to steal the taxi after the driver challenged him and hospital security came to the scene. He was arrested after a brief chase on foot.
