Safety, Security in a Historic Building

Here's how one campus developed territoriality while maintaining its historical character
Published: May 24, 2010

I recently had a chance to visit this very beautifully renovated high school complex in the Atlanta Public School System.  This historic building was formerly part of a university and is now the home of several high school campuses.

The restoration work was extremely well done maintaining the historic character or the building while also creating a very pleasant exterior appearance. We also saw floor to ceiling murals that sometimes ran 20 to 40 feet in length on main hallways and in stairwells to create a stronger sense of territoriality. They did a great job on this project.

Keep up the great work and have an awesome day.
