College Police and Security Officer Pay Improving with the Economy
Although the U.S. population is diverse, with more than a third of Americans identifying as Hispanic (15%), black (12%), Asian (5%) or other (3%), college public safety departments don’t fully represent this diversity. More than half of CS Salary Survey respondents (56%) say that 20% or less of their department staff are minorities. Sixteen percent of the campus protection professionals who completed the 2015 survey say they are African American, Hispanic, Asian or other.
