College Police and Security Officer Pay Improving with the Economy
Despite the fact that about half of our nation’s population is female, that percentage is not represented in college campus public safety departments. More than four in five (83%) respondents say that women make up 30% or less of the employees in their agencies. Drilling down even further, more than a third (35%) say 10% or less of their public safety staff are female. Fifteen percent of the campus protection professionals who completed the 2015 salary survey are female.
