College Police and Security Officer Pay Improving with the Economy
There appears to have been a shift in the quantity and types of weapons college campus public safety officers carry while they are patrolling. In 2011, more campuses only had their officers carry lethal weapons, but now more have their officers carry both lethal and less-lethal weapons. There has also been a slight increase in the percentage of campuses with officers carrying only less-lethal weapons, as well as a slight decrease in the number of institutions of higher ed not
arming their officers with weapons at all.
