Arlington County Schools (Va.) Superintendent Patrick K. Murphy worked with local police to write an email that quelled concerns without mentioning the word “clown.” Nearby Benton Middle School (Va., pictured above) Principal Denise Huebner sent a letter to parents encouraging them to talk to their children about the consequences of making social media threats
