Clown Hysteria Disrupts Schools, Occupies Police
One Sept. 21 an 11-year-old middle school girl in Athens, Georgia brought a knife into school and was arrested. The student, who was arrested at Burney-Harris-Lyons Middle School (pictured above) claimed it was for protection against potential clown attacks. There had been several reports of clown threats in Georgia that week.
