Clown Hysteria Disrupts Schools, Occupies Police
On Oct. 5 Northwestern High School (Md.) was locked down after a clown-related threat was discovered on Instagram. The Loudoun County sheriff’s office announced shortly after that incident that it would be increasing officer patrols around schools in the area in response to the clown scares. Multiple students were later arrested for making social media threats to schools in the area. School lockdowns were also reported in Southern Alabama due to clown scares.
