PALATKA, Fla. — A 5-year-old boy was suspended from school after he brought a loaded semi-automatic weapon into a classroom. The boy told authorities that he found the weapon in his step-father’s car.
The 22-caliber gun fell out of the boy’s pocket on Jan. 25 while he was in his pre-kindergarten music class, USA Today reports. The weapon was loaded, but there were no rounds in the chamber.
The step-father could face charges if police find that negligence contributed to the incident.
