Yesterday was the final day of the 2019 Campus Safety Conferences and what a summer it has been!

From Vegas to Dallas to Charlotte, hundreds of K-12 and higher ed campus safety and security professionals came together to receive time-critical education, training and networking experiences.

Campus Safety Conference East, held this week at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte-Concord Golf Resort & Spa in North Carolina, featured some unique topic sessions, including the neuroscience behind certain behaviors, transitioning from a security department to a police department, establishing the position of school security director, false alarms, traveling athletic teams and creating a student threat assessment team.

The two-and-a-half-day event included workshops, trainings, hot topic sessions, a sponsor showcase and keynotes from James Gagliano, retired Supervisory Special Agent with the FBI, and Molly Hudgens, a school counselor and Congressional Medal of Honor Citizens Honor recipient.
