Detectives Skeptical of School Officer’s Hoax Story

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Los Angeles Police detectives investigating the hoax shooting involving Los Angeles School Police Officer Jeffrey Stenroos are skeptical of his story that he accidentally shot himself and blamed a fake assailant, reports the Los Angeles Times.

A source told the newspaper the bruising on Stenroos’ chest is not consistent with a gunshot at close range.
