HHS Announces the Availability of $25 Million to Expand Primary Care – Including Mental Health – Services in Schools

Projects include $16.6 million for high-tech school security at 25 districts in New York.
The investment more than doubles the initial allotment for the program provided by Ohio’s operating budget and the American Rescue Plan Act.
This summer’s Campus Safety Conferences will be held in Henderson, Nevada, July 10-12, and Dallas, Texas, July 31 – August 2.
Funds will be used to cover physical security enhancements such as cameras, door locks, alarms, public address systems, and metal detectors.
The i-PRO Grants team helps K-12 schools search for potential funding sources and offers grant writing services.
The STOP School Violence grant funding will help schools implement anti-bullying programs and mental health resources to prevent violence.
The virtual event, happening Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, will also feature two keynotes, including a panel of previous Director of the Year winners, two general sessions, and two live raffles.
Oregon is also eligible for over $8.2 million in federal funds from the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.
Some of the funding will be used to promote boys’ and men’s roles in combating violence against women and girls.
