Scenario 2: A parent brings a school secretary the names and phone numbers of persons authorized to pick up the child if the parent is unavailable or in case of an emergency.

While the secretary is entering the information into the student information system, he is called by the principal to make some copies. The secretary leaves his desk without locking his computer and asks a student worker to sit at his desk and answer incoming phone calls. The student has access to what is displayed on the monitor. Could this lead to a FERPA violation?
