What: Thanks to tips provided to a school resource officer (SRO) by multiple people, a potential school shooting was prevented at Florence Jr./Sr. High School.
The suspect, who was armed with a stolen gun, was arrested by the Florence Police Department. Police Chief Shane Prickett said the police response exemplifies the benefit of maintaining close relationships between students and SROs.
