This emergency status card has text to explain what this color card is to be used for and has the classroom number in case it slides across the hallway when placed under the door. The number can also be helpful if it is displayed in the classroom window.

An important caution for emergency lockdown situations is that teachers should be trained not to slide the cards under the door or to display them in windows until they are instructed to do so by verified communications. Teachers should not be instructed to do this until law enforcement officials have gained control of all hallways.
