Viking Electronics SR-IP SIP-Enabled Loud Ringer

The SR-IP is a SIP compliant PoE powered audio device for providing audible and visual ring indication for SIP VoIP phone systems.

Viking Electronics, a designer and manufacturer of communication and security products, releases the SR-IP, a Voice-over-IP SIP loud ringer and visual indication device, complete with four traditional ringing sounds and doorbell tones.

The device works over hosted and on-premise VoIP SIP phone systems. Its loud ring or door chime sound (which can be up to 93 dB SPL) is activated by an incoming call. Users simply set the ring volume and choose a tone using Viking’s PC-based software that can be downloaded from VikingElectronics.com.

The SR-IP has a single RJ-45 network connection and acts as a third-party SIP endpoint device. It can be programmed to activate when a specific number is called to notify a floating employee, or users can add the SR-IP into a call group to announce an incoming call after hours to a manager.

For noisy locations or applications requiring visual indication, the SR-IP comes with a 2 Amp SPDT relay that can trigger Viking models BLK-4 and SL-2 strobe lights, or trip additional loud ringers such as the SR-1.
