Global Security Systems Alert FM Messaging System

Jackson, Miss.- based Global Security Systems presents Alert FM, an FM radio-based alert and messaging system that allows campus emergency managers to create and send emergency information before, during and after a crisis.

This single- to multi-point system uses the Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS) subcarrier to send geographically or organizationally targeted messages. Targeted messages can be sent to multiple campuses, a specific campus, multiple buildings, a specific classroom or specific campus groups, like campus police or administration. GSS also claims that an ALERT FM message can go to one receiver or to a large number of receivers within seconds with no network capacity concerns.
