NEW YORK, N.Y. — Carbyne, a provider of cloud-native emergency call handling situations, introduces Carbyne Connect, a new emergency notification system that helps support employers with employee safety initiatives for high-risk environments.

Carbyne Connect provides an added layer of awareness through emergency notifications to the employer, authorities, and emergency contacts, says the company. Carbyne designed the new service to help notify an organization’s security personnel when a covered individual makes an emergency call.

According to a SCORE survey, four in five employees prefer improved benefits over a salary increase. Additionally, 78% of employees are more likely to stay with their employer because of their benefits program. Carbyne says the solution helps employers provide the benefit of safety to their employees through emergency notifications.

To use the solution, employees sign up online, enter emergency contacts, and approve sharing permissions. There is no dedicated smartphone app download required.

If an employee experiences an emergency and calls 9-1-1 either on their organization’s premises or while traveling in a covered area, Carbyne Connect immediately notifies the employer of the emergency call, along with location data and medical information, if configured. Secondly, in the covered area, the employee’s location and medical information will also be shared with authorities to help deliver the most effective emergency response. Thirdly, if configured, Carbyne Connect notifies the employee’s emergency contacts specified during signup about the 9-1-1 call along with additional data chosen by the employee.

“At Carbyne we sincerely believe that every person counts,” said Amir Elichai, CEO of Carbyne. “With the launch of Carbyne Connect, we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with employers globally who are committed to helping improve safety for their most valuable assets – their people.”

Carbyne Connect is currently available in Latin America and major U.S. cities.
