FREMONT, Calif. — At this year’s ISC West trade event, AlertEnterprise, a cyber-physical security convergence software company, introduced two new solutions — its new Guardian SOC Insights suite and its first-ever Guardian AI Chatbot.

Powered by the company’s latest developments in AI, including integration with the OpenAI ChatGPT platform, Guardian SOC Insights is designed to provide actionable data and playbooks to SOC teams, enabling them to detect, respond to and mitigate risk. Guardian’s AI engine is said to significantly reduce the time to deploy, with customers up and running in a matter of weeks, delivering measurable ROI in a few months without any human interaction.

“With Guardian SOC Insights, we’re leveraging the latest advancements in AI to help SOC teams convert volumes of unstructured and structured physical security data into insights and results,” said Yogesh Ailawadi, SVP of Product and Solutions Engineering at AlertEnterprise. “Using Guardian’s AI-driven automation, SOC teams will see a major reduction in risk, response times, and operational costs for their organization while dramatically boosting their performance.”

Guardian SOC Insights workflows and processes are automated and designed to reduce distractions, allowing security operators to focus on tasks that matter most to them. Interactive and intuitive dashboards visualize and bring attention to incidents that need investigation, turning what used to take hours into minutes, says the company.

“Physical security has so much valuable data hiding in plain sight. A platform like this finally allows you to leverage that data and deliver real results,” said Alert Enterprise customer Casper Eloff, head of corporate security at The Mosaic Company. “This could be a huge force multiplier for corporate security teams, and with no rip and replace needed, the system could pay for itself in months and deliver significant ROI long-term.”

Guardian AI Chatbot Part of AlertEnterprise’s Next-Gen AI Technology

The Guardian AI Chatbot can understand and interpret text and voice using a natural language processing (NLP) engine.

AlertEnterprise’s Guardian AI Chatbot, developed with the GPT-3 platform created by Open AI, is designed to instantly deliver security operators the physical access and security insights that matter most with quick questions and prompts, according to the company. It is fully integrated throughout the Guardian platform.

“Physical security and access control systems have always contained a tremendous wealth of data but, until now, accessing it was a tedious and manual process,” said Ailawadi. “Our Guardian AI Chatbot is poised to redefine the security operator’s experience, increasing their productivity by over 100 times with instant and actionable insights for not only risk mitigation but real business value.”

The Guardian AI Chatbot has been trained on ChatGPT’s most recent content and prompts and can understand and interpret text and voice using a natural language processing (NLP) engine. It can answer a range of questions related to physical access, identity access management, visitor management, door reader analytics, and security and safety reporting.

Some examples include:

  • “Guardian, how many employees and visitors are in the Data Center?”
  • “Guardian, how many new employee badges did we issue last month?”
  • “Guardian, show me upcoming employee training expirations for restricted area access.”

Using Guardian and its AI Chatbot, CSO and CISOs can boost their team’s efficiency by automating tasks and freeing up time to focus on more critical responsibilities, the company explains. Guardian also leverages a campus’ current security investments by connecting to leading access control vendors and over 200 out-of-the-box connectors to HR, IT, and OT systems. If the organization has a complex mix of access control systems, the company says Guardian connects to and consolidates them all under one platform.

“Despite economic headwinds, the world’s most forward-looking CSOs and CISOs are accelerating security digital transformation,” said AlertEnterprise founder and CEO Jasvir Gill. “With Guardian’s deep forensics and AI data-driven insights, CSO and CISO’s can transform their access control from the stone age to the digital age—making every part of their SOC more automated, expeditious and cost effective, and ultimately the organization more secure.
