UPDATE: No Gunman Found on Yale Campus

UPDATE: Yale officials issued an “all-clear” Monday afternoon after no gunman was found on campus.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Yale University officials have sent an emergency alert to its campus community telling people to shelter in place due to there being a gunman at the school.

Around 10 a.m. on Monday, New Haven Police received an anonymous call. The caller told police his roommate was planning to shoot people at the university, reports the Los Angeles Times. Additionally, someone reported seeing a person with a long gun on campus.

No shots have been fired, and no one has been injured.

The alert sent to the community reads: “Confirmed report of person with a gun on/near Old Campus. SHELTER IN PLACE. This is NOT a test.”

The school is currently on break, and classes are not scheduled to resume until Dec. 2, reports Boston.com.
