Woman, 77, Gets 18 Months Probation for Hospital Crash

BROCKTON, Mass. – A 77-year-old woman received 18 months of probation in a court ruling after crashing her vehicle into Brockton Hospital last October. She killed two people in the crash.

Jane Berghold, who pleaded guilty May 6, was charged with motor vehicle homicide and will lose her license for 15 years.

Additionally, Berghold faces civil suits from the estates of her two victims, Dr. Mark Vasa and Susan Plante.
