Wash. State U.: Arsonist Set 3 Campus Fires

PULLMAN, Wash. — An arsonist was responsible for three fires that broke out on the Washington State University campus in the span of a week. The most recent fire occurred Tuesday in a campus research building.

Authorities discovered a broken window and several points of ignition in the College of Veterinary Medicine’s McCoy Hall, NWCN.com reports. The sprinkler system limited fire damage, but there was extensive water damage.

A fire on Saturday burned a two-story community building in an apartment complex owned by the university, The Associated Press reports. Another apartment complex community building was burned last week.’
